Going to prom is something that is much more important to graduating seniors, yet there are always those juniors and pesky underclassmen that find their way in. If you're a junior and you plan on going to prom, don't waste your money on going all out. It's best to save that for senior year.

Buying things like expensive limos, flowers, and junior prom dresses is just taking the dance out of proportion and completely unnecessary. If you're going to prom your junior year, don't expect too much for the work and planning that you put into it. Actually any prom should have this precaution put in front of it.

Prom king

It's always been a known fact that the most popular girl and boy in your high school will become the prom queen and king. While the stereotype about prom queens has been disputed countless times within the past few years through movies and stories alike, the prom king stereotype has been changed long ago.

It is now quite common for prom kings to not only be popular but also one of the most kind and well loved within the school by all. Though the popularity part has played an important role for a while, it is now the lesser of the latter two traits that are found in most "kings" these days.

Prom sex

The thing that most all parents worry about the most for their high school graduates is prom sex. Pressure to stop the drinking has really come to a bare minimum while the sex part has greatly increased. The truth is that parents should really go back to worrying about the drinking.

Drunk driving on prom night is one of the worst fatal accidents that can happen. If the kids don't drink, then they'll be sober enough to judge whom they want to sleep with and whom they'd rather not sleep with. There's not much else to it, just as simple as that. Kids, if you don't want to sleep with some fat jerk, don't get drunk so you can’t leave that judgment up to your brain.

Prom tuxedos

As guys, we don't really like to worry much about the fine details of everything about prom. We usually just let our dates take care of all the planning and whatnot, especially if we're going in a large group. Now if we're taking our own dates to prom and we want to make it a truly special night, that's a whole different story altogether. But for the former case, the only thing that we worry about the most is that our prom tuxedos work out for the best.

With that in mind, it's somewhat the bare minimum that we can take care of by ourselves. So for further steps, we should get the color of our date's dress. Make sure you know the exact color, otherwise you might ruin something special for your date. This color is just to get a vest and tie that matches your date's dress, every other part of the tux is yours to mess with. If anything, you can even go to further lengths of finding a corsage that will match your date's dress as well. Then for sure you're date will be impressed.

Prom corsages

As the end of the school year comes closer and closer, graduating seniors are getting more and more excited about that last high school dance that they'll ever attend. Girls spend ridiculous amounts of time and money looking for the right shoes, the right dress, and the right hairstyles and makeup for their perfect prom night. Boys on the other hand, wait for the girls to pick out what color they want, get a matching tux, and then sweat about getting the right corsage.

Prom corsages are somewhat like a pin or a badge, as are boutonnieres. Guys could care less about their boutonnieres but girls on the other hand will be pretty disappointed if they don't get one or if the one they got doesn't match right. So be careful guys, with what you pick out, and for goodness sake don't forget to pick it up before you go and pick you date up.

Cheap prom dress

Finding the right prom dress can be a relatively difficult task. Finding the right cheap prom dress is an entirely different scheme that may take longer that the former. If you'd rather die than worry about buying a dress and then finding out that someone else at your prom has the same exact dress then the best way to go is get a job and work as hard as you can to save up for that 300… 400-dollar prom dress.

But if that's not your top priority, then screw that ridiculously overpriced piece of fabric and find a dress that looks good and functions well. The last thing you'll want is to buy a dress that you can't even dance in. Cheap prom dresses are everywhere, just as long as you're looking hard enough. Little no-name brand stores often have very nice dresses and they won't cost more than 100 dollars. The stores are there, you just have to ask around and do a little networking to find them.

Prom theme

A good prom theme for you high school senior prom is very important to the makings of a memorable prom night. Although price of the decorations and the time it takes to set up are crucial factors in deciding what the theme will be, it is more important that the theme will satisfy the entire high school.

Most high school students are easily pleased, and going with a good bank of prom themes that they expect a high school prom to be will definitely be the easiest way to go. Themes that give off a high-class atmosphere, like a jazz theme with the charming Frank Sinatra in the background would surely do the trick.

Being only high school students, they will still somehow degrade that theme to the normal bump and grind that’s present at every dance, but it’s the initial impression that counts the most.

Green Prom Dress

For a certain time in history the color black was considered to be the "in" color. It was the color that made everyone look good. Its versatility allowed it to be worn at any kind of event, business meetings, weddings, funerals, family get-togethers, graduations, and the ever popular last high school dance: prom.

From black the new color has been changed to pink, a color that some believe to be rather feminine. This change has delivered females a larger spectrum of colors to choose from for different events. The change also made many females bolder in picking their colors and many prom dressmakers have incorporated these colors into their line-up of dresses.

More recently, the phrase "Green is the new black," has shown up in the windows of many clothing retail stores, which introduces the color green into this spectrum. So if you don't want to fall off the bandwagon, the dress you pick for your next prom should be a green prom dress.
